View Full Version : quitting cocaine vs. quitting cigarettes
despite having a nice high yesterday night (even posting about how good i felt), this morning it really hit me how f**ked up this is getting. it's turning into an addiction. it is an addiction. i don't know how to phrase it, but i have to stop. every addict always sounds like this, "after this 8 i'm done, no more", and the following week they're hitting up their dealer for some more snow. yeah, well, nicotine has cocaine beat in terms of the addictive quality, and i cut that shit out cold turkey. i woke up one morning, reached for my pack, and literally just looked down at it and threw it away, after about four years of heavy smoking. i haven't had a cigarette in god knows how long. i'll just stick with pot for now, and though i KNOW i'll miss the shit, it's just not worth it to me anymore. it's really not.

I hear you highway... i've said a few times that i was going to be done with coke... but luckily i don't do it SO much that is running my life... thinking about it is almost constant, but i'm able to keep the bag down for a while...
i'm a big fan of the step down process... if you can avoid doing 8's (Maybe just grams instead) on the weekends for a while, maybe 3-6months then you my be able to incrimentally slow or stop your use...think you can do it?
Hey, it is cool that you just quit smoking, but remember there are more chemicals in pot and other street drugs then in smokes. Be careful detoxing off any street drug.

You gotta be kiddin me.You actually think there are more chemicals in cigs than pot? There's like 11,000 different chemicals in smokes,while marijuana is au natural and comes from a plant.
There is more chemicals in ciggarettes.... should be a given. Also, some chron is grown with bud enhancers like blooms away or bulb busters.... What you put in the plant, is what your smoking in the long run.

im 15 months clean. i first stopped the crystal, lsd, and alco. then tackled the smokes. congrats to you on quitting the smokes. hang in there, im feeling a lot better now that im clean.
