View Full Version : Health - Bad Day.... Klonopin (Clonazepam) and Xanax (Alprazolam) Amnesia
I got a hold of some klonopins and i had never taken them before and
didn't know the strnegth of them i took 10 mg and 1.5 mg xanax. blacked
out and woke up six hours later, tried to drive home, got into an
accident got a DUI and got put into jail because i was so fucked up.
thios all happened a couple days ago.... worst day ever
You should do some research, man. 10mg of klonopin is approx. 20 times the recommended dosage for a person with no tolerance. The starting dose is 0.5 mg!!!
You're lucky to be alive, particularly mixing that shit with a high dose of Xanax. If it were me I'd thank whatever gods I believed in that I was still breathing, and fuck the DUI/jail cuz it's minor shit next to that.Edited by: Nicaine

No matter what the drug. Whenever experimenting with a new substance. You should always start low and work your way up until you reach the desired effect. Driving in this state was your second irresponsible mistake. Not too smart. Rather careless to put yourself, but moreimportantly, others at risk. Now you have to deal with the consequences. i agree in with all of you, this was very irresponsible, downright stupid, and with ten minutes of research this could have easily been avoided.
however i know a few friends who have done similar things, doin like 10 .5's there first time........and this leads me to another interesting point, erowid has no experience reports on klonopin, i think itd be cool if a few umm swims of ours would write some up.
erowid is a key source and theres no reason it shouldnt have reports for klonopin, its not like noones ever used it recreationally before.
i think that could have a large part to do with why ppl are so familiar with xanax doses but not klonopin, lots of people just check erowid and thats it end of research....off to go write a report
5mg the first time would be high but acceptable, but this guy did 10mg and chased it with 1.5mg Xanax. IMO this is a recipe for death. The fact that he blacked out for six hours (damn long) and was still too messed up to drive is a pretty good sign.
This reminds me of OD'ing on heroin, then chasing it with 80mg Oxycontin before nodding off. You just can't expect a long lifespan under those conditions... http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif
P.S. wish I could remember any 'experiences' from Klonopin, it's not a drug that particularly gets you high as far as I know. Xanax sure does, but K. (at least in normal doses) tends to just produce the calming effects without much of a noticeable buzz, at least for me... I've got a legal script for it.Edited by: Nicaine
Yes I know this was stupid. Me and my friend had 500 kolonopin
and 500 xanax sitting in front of us on the table. I knew i was
going to get fucked up but I had no idea it was going to be to that
degree. Normally i take between 6 and 8 bars. So i though
10 of these little pills would be alright. I was way off, it took
my friends dad 8 times to wake us up in the morning and i stumbled aout
to my (this is what people tell me, i have no recollection) and as I
was driving I was throwing up uncontrolabely and thats when i hit this
woman at a stoplight. I would have never driven, but I had no
senses and had lost complete control of myself. I even threw my
phone at a cop I was told. Things could have been worse tho, and
it was a learning lesson and no one was injured.

That's a good way to look at it. Mistakes are only truly bad when we don't learn from them ;)
This coming from someone that's lived through a DUI/DWI too. Luckily I was in a state with diversion (that I've completed all but the probation of). It wasn't easy, but it was better than jail time! The prosecutor offered me a year in jail and the max fine. Wasn't a hard decision for me...

yow, I'm a guy from belgium (this is my first post) and I've done a lot of benzos. My primary source of information has always been the compendium of one of the pharmacies in my town (they get theirs renewed at the end of each year anyway, so you can ask them their old copy)..because "knoxledge is power", and that's what you need doing dope.

Ehh, I agree it was bad judgement, but I can understand what did. When you shove ten pills in your mouth, you can't really be sure exactly what kind of effect your gonna get. You really should have done some research though. Hope you learned from your mistake, and thanks for sharing. Perhaps others will read this and learn from it as well.

Nah, i doubt 3 mg would do anything to me. Since the accident ive taken
about 6 or 7 mgs at a time to reach my desired level and that still
doesn't fuck me up that bad. I think it had something to do with
the combination on zanax i took with it, or who knows i could have had
alot more than 10 mgs that night, i really don't remember anything
after a certain point. ( we did have over 1000 pills sitting on the
table in front of us)
