View Full Version : Combinations - E + Methylone
SWIM will have these two in possession in a few weeks. He is thinking of taking both together in same night, but at different times (maybe 1-2 hours apart).
Because they're so related in effects, I would think that they would work well together. However, not being an expert in this field I'm at a loss for guarantees.
Anyone have any experience or advice with this combo?
I read one account of someone doing mdma, 2ct-7, and then later methylone, for one thing he said the first two were a bad combo, heavy body load, and then he commented that after the the methylone he was straight, like sober and disappointed. he did say he would never do the 2ct-7 and mdma again though. I've been wondering about 5-HTP loading and methylone though. I've herd lots of good things about 5-HTP loading (like 200 - 300mgs taken over an afternoon before rolling) and mdma. Some accounts say it's like the first time again. Swim sure wuld like to get back there. Maybe give that a shot.

Most reports suggest that 5-HTP preloading seems to flatten or mitigate the MDMA effects.
2c-T-7 and MDMA as combination seem to have bad reputation.
My limited experience of MDMA and methylone is that they mixed OK but I would prefer methylone by itself.

I took some methylone, about 140mg if I remember correctly, it was
whatever I had left, once after 150mg MDMA was wearing off (it was a big
night which I'm sad to say continued on to 2c-b). It provided a bit of a
kick but nothing too special.
For some reason this whole combo caused a very strange effect: the 2c-b
didn't come on until four hours after I took it.
Anyway, my feeling was that the added stress on my brain probably
wasn't worth what little I got out of it.Edited by: radiometer

Basically, MDMA is a stronger material than methylone ....

^per mg, yes.
5-HTP preloading is absolute bollocks and will kill a peak.
thanks for the heads up on 5HTP, have only read about 3 accounts of it, one guy swore by it so much he said never do more than 100mg of mdma when loading, the others did so much other stuff besides mdma I don't know how they would know that the 5htp was of any enhancement. Swim has had alot of trouble being able to get that magic back. He had a one year break (was on some ssri's during the time) and has attempted to roll twice without alot of magic. He's thinking it may be time to try some 2c-i. Supposed to have the least body load although mild. He'd love to try some 2ct-7 or 5meo-diptbut is nervous about... well what else, I ain't gonna say it.

Most of the effects from MDMA are produced my a decline in the levels
of seretonin in your brain. Preloading with 5htp would mean that you
have EXTRA seretonin and would need MORE MDMA to get the same effects

^oh boy, thats about as backwards of an explain as you could get, so i'll let y'all correct the JewishNazi.
Most of the effects from MDMA are produced my a decline in the levels of seretonin in your brain.
MDMA's effects are given by the drug inducing the release of an abundance of serotonin from the vesicles in the brain and into the synapse where these neurotransmittersbind todendritic (serotonin) receptors. Essentially, the synapse is filled with a huge amount of serotonin and these receptors are constantly being activated/binded. This serotonin receptor "binding"also induces the release of more dopamine which yeilds other niceeffects of MDMA.This yields the pleasure and euphoria that makes MDMA so popular. Eventually, some of these serotonin neurotransmitters move through reuptake transporters (serotonin transporters), back into the axon where some move back into the vesicles (MDMA might re-release them back into synapse) and some will be broken down by Monoamine Oxidase (MAO).
Eventually, however, the vesicles are drained of serotonin, and drained considerably if one continues to take more and more MDMA and/or consistently over time. Furthermore, because these serotonin neurotransmittersare ultimately broken down (by MAO), your serotonin levels are depleted.Furthermore, the body is unable to re-produce enough serotonin fast enoughto refill these vesicles. This is where the "comedown" (depression) effects kick in because you're left with little to no serotonin. Serotonin is responsible for mood, emotion, sleep, and appetite for the human body.
When I first started understanding this process, I was like "why don't I just take MAO inhibitors so that my serotonin won't be depleted/broken down, this way it will just be a continuous cycle and serotonin will continue to be available?" BAD IDEA! MAO is important for breaking down the serotonin in the axon. Believe it or not, this is a good thing.
As far as 5-HTP helping to re-generate serotonin, I don't have any insight on this other than it takes the body some time to generate and increase the serotonin levels.Bottom line, there is no quick fix.nanobrain would be good to answer that one.
so sounds like the jury's still out on the 5htp. swims been taking some daily (50mg daily as directed), sees no noticable difference in mood or other. I don't think he'll be loading before his next roll until he hearsfrom an authority onthis topic.
