I was doing pretty well for a while, messed up for three days in a row but I'm back on track now. I wished it didn't happen but at least I learned something. I'm living with my parents for the next month and a half until I move out for school. My Dad saw me all messed up, of course, and he brought something very important to my attention. He said "You just lost4 days of your life. What would've happened if you were in school?"

Obviously that was a retorical question, but shit!, what would've happened. I would not have studied for ANY of my five classes for four days. If I had a test I would have failed or done very porely. I would like to think I'm smart enough to not do it when I have a test, so best case scenario: I would have missed threedays of classs, probably two labs or clinicals, and been completely worthless on one other day. Most likely there would be a quiz of some sort in at least 2 of the 5 classes over the four days. The fourth day, the day of recovery that I decided to go to class, I would have made a terrible impression on my classmates and girl I was interested in and would probably been better off staying home.

I'm very glad I did what I did now and learned that lesson from it. Whatever I do, I go ALL OUT, Whether it's school, impressing girls, lifting weights or partying. I can't afford to get high because the value I put on my future is too much to allow for it.

I guess I wrote this to get it out and to help me see everything a little clearer. I wrote this for me but if it helps you see what I saw or what you need to see withoutgoing through it ,that would be great. Thanks for letting me speak.

Paulywould. Hindsight is a worthy tool. Speaking, writing, talking about your experiences is a form of debriefing. Debriefing is another tool that is easy to utilise. Well done. Good luck with all your studies. You are aware that in everything you do you go hard out, this is important for your growth as you can start to moderate your responses. Best of everything to you.
