There are several substances that increase sperm production. L-arginine is the most used one. L-arginine should only be used in combination with l-Lysine. Zinc oxide does also increase sperm production.

Apparently, raised levels of L-arginine can prevent L-lysine from entering the brain, and seeing as how L-lysine is an essential amino acid, this is not good.
