I was wondering if there are any more potent ways to take it. Can it be
snorted, or filtered and injected? Anything else? Curious if there

i've snorted ambien a few times,it wasn't unpleasent.
just start off with 10mg and see how that makes you feel before upping the dosage

You guys *need* to fall asleep, right NOW? Ambien will do it for ya, but you have to be a little bit aggressive. When SWIM has to get some sleep (as in, important event the next day he has to be well-rested for) and isn't sleepy, here's his technique:
(1) 10mg Ambien dissolved in 4ml water -- rectally, straight up the poop chute. Begins taking effect within 15 seconds, slight tinnitus or "hollow" sound + heart rate increase are the signs.
(2) 5mg Ambien orally. Begins taking effect within 5-10 minutes.
Hit it from both ends, guys. Up the poop chute, down the hatch.
(3) Resist sleep, enjoy the calm/euphoric effects for 15 minutes or so, then go to bed.
The combo of (1) and (2) have never failed to do it for SWIM. Even when he was starting to come down off uppers but *definitely* still high. The Ambien brought him down, then put him to sleep. Normally he'll sleep through the night, but if he wakes up in 3-4 hours another 5mg Ambien orally is typically enough to drop him back off the rest of the night.

SWIM has just discovered his best way too have a good night sleep after some amphetamine use.
First he took 5 3mg tablets melatonine sublingually, than took 1.8 ml of GBL(his optimum dose)
SWIM fell asleep at 2 o'clock last nigth, and just woke up at 12 o'clock, feeling fresh and rested, even though he was pretty tweaked last night.
It works like a charm for SWIM, better than taking any benzo's, though Ambien does the trick as well for SWIM.

Usually, when swim was to sleep well to be prepared for a long and tough day, he takes 2-4 3mg melatonin caps orally and another 2 EXIGAN tabs (each has 80mg Valeriana Extract and 20mg Phenobarbital). That really knocks one out in less than 30 minutes.

SWIM would like to know what the use of combining those is, as phenobarbital is very strong, and the valerian extract probaply isn't going to add much to the combination.

Yeah I know, SWIM never heard about this "medicine" before he found it in his dads medicine cabinet once. But he read a lot about valeriana officinalis and barbiturates.

It's actually about as quick/easy to do as oral admin. Probably safer too, as there's zero choking hazard involved. Takes effect faster, and bioavailability is obviously better.
Radiometer has a point... try it a few times tho & it's really not a big deal anymore. SWIM didn't mind too much in the first place, as he'd taken occasional enemas for years as remedy for constipation.

its more a nuerotic phobia of uncomfortability. to SWIM something in the butt is well like something in the butt! more power to those who are comfortable with it, its your butt, stick anything past the sphincter that suits your fancy :D. yes that could well be it, it may be an "acquired taste" so to speak on the comfort level. Im quite sure after a few times SWIM wouldnt feel the need to rush to the toilet. SWIM just isnt sure SWIM could handle those few times! ;)

So SWIA has read a whole ton of reports, and alot of them are conflicting, so he's hoping to get an answer from you guys: What's the best method of administration for Ambien?
First priority for SWIM is that it'll get him to sleep, quickly, and second priority is that it give him the best 'euphoria' or whatever you want to call that Ambien-feeling. So which do you guys recommend? Rectal, sublingual, parachuting, oral, other?
In SWIM's opinion: Dissolve it in around 5ml water per 10mg tablet (minimizes bad taste), drip 1ml under the tongue and hold it there a few... repeat until it's gone.

SWIA'll try that tonight and post how it goes... How does SWIN get it to dissolve in so little water? Maybe the IR tablets are more soluble in water than the CR tablets are.
Well, looks like SWIachaea forgot bout his little experiment posting, haha. Well in SWIdr's oppinion rectal or sublingual is the best kinds of administration when it comes to zopidem tartrate, ad many other drugs. Just thought SWIdr would post his feelings on this drug's administration.

People snorting ambien seem to get good results. It isn't water soluble so it shouldn't be a very efficient method, but somehow, like snorting benzos, it works for some people.
If SWIY wants a quicker onset he could just use his/her arse hole

SWIY shouldn't stick the whole pill up SWIY's arse. Better crush it and dissolve it into water and then put it into a syringe (without the needle). Then SWIY can shoot it up SWIY's arse. No chocolate fingers involved.
When snorting SWIY better extract all the non-water soluble stuff first out of the pill. Just dissolve the pill in warm water and throw it trough a filter (a folded coffee filter should be sufficient.) After that SWIY have to damp all the water out of the jar (Better not boil, put the jar in a warm water bath). The residue can be snorted. However SWIM is not sure, whether this is the way to go with Ambien, because it is active in low doses. SWIM would say chewing or rectal is the best method.

It actually didnt burn for him, or so he said, but remembers blacking out soon after. Swim just wanted to make sure it wouldnt kill him or anything thats all, so swim guesses its good, but will remember to more careful next time.

SWIY probably hadn't a change to die. Ambien has an LD50 (tested on rats) of 695 mg/kg (male) and 1030 mg/kg (female). People have recovered from doses up to 400 mg. So 30/40 mg isn't going to kill you. Maybe if you blackout on the staircase.

Back in the day when SWIM's cupboards were overflowing with the shit, he found the most pronounced effects were in a combination of an oral and insuflated doses. The best bang per dose with Amb usually came by holding 15-20mg crushed in SWIM's mouth under the tongue for as long as possible and then swallowing followed by insuflating 5-10mg.

The best bang per dose with Amb usually came by holding 15-20mg crushed in SWIM's mouth under the tongue for as long as possible and then swallowing followed by insuflating 5-10mg.absolutly right except that if swiy really wants the best high(under the toung while swiy has cottonmouth is next best)is an IM injection of 5-10 mg(with coating scraped off) with a 1 micron filter on the rig,none of that cotton ball shit for pills.swim did this and bam swim felt like he had popped 20mg...even 30 mg might compare to this experince because the onset is like getting hit in the face with a shovel,its like swim wasnt prepared for it or sumptin.the effects only lasted about 30-45 min but now that swim thinks about it 20mg oral only had him trippin for an hour and a half so its not that bad of a trade off,especially for around 7mg.some of the local stoners round here put powdered pills on a bowl of mj and supposedly get extreme pattern visuals("spots and waves and shit dude!!")but siwm dosent reccomend smoking pills.as for snorting its a good happy medium but the burn is like snorting dried battery acid.

Can Swim stick ambien under his/her tongue and let it dissolve to achieve effects. Swim knows that this is a quick way to get fucked up and works well with other drugs, just wanted to know if it applied to ambien as well. Any answers appreciated. If this has been answered already, show link to the other thread, because swim couldn't find it.
Yes, zolpidem (ambien) works very well when taken sublingually. Doesn't taste too good though.

My kitten thinks this is rather pointless- my kitten seems to get effects when taken orally in 10-15 minutes (far faster than any benzo ever did). And the taste of Ambien is definately, definately, not worth the faster hit (it took my kitten 5-7 minutes to get effects sublingually). And no, its not going to taste minty-fresh like some clonazepam/lorazepam does.

In swims opinion it is not too odd. In the right setting with the right person pain can turn into pleasure. Also: Having sex, masturbate, looking porn is great to combat upcoming panic attacks.
Anyone tried to smoke zolpidem, if this is possible? Not that swim wants to try, but just for the sake of completeness, it would be interesting.

SOLUBILITY: Water: 23 mg/ml at 20 °C
Alcohol and propylene glycol: sparingly soluble
It will melt at 193 Celcius, so the boiling point probably will be a lot higher (if it doesn't degrade at higher temperatures.). It is soluble enough in water to extract it out of a pill to lose the binders. 10 ml for a 10 mg pill, filtering it and damp it out could probably done fast enough. So snorting also gets a serious option.
More information. Strange things can happen when heating:
100 mg of zolpidem tartrate is heated over three days at 100°C. After cooling, the sample is analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction and representative results are shown in fig. 7. This heat treated product is no longer identical with zolpidem tartrate. Instead the product is identical with an artificially created equimolar mixture of zolpidem free base and zolpidem hydrogen tartrate as shown in fig. 8.

swim has read about how even pressure from crushing zolpidem tablets can change it to a base form....swim would try to smoke the tabs if he had the time to do a methanol extraction. maby someday.
