Me: 26, with four opiated years behind me. In recovery now,
with nearly 4 weeks clean time. What a f*cking waste...
I have spoken online with many opiophiles, and they generally seem to
be somewhat older(38+) than the average drug user. I'm wondering
why this is? Is it because the monkey is so hard to get off your
back, or is it because dope is the only drug that will still do the
'trick'...?
Oh, and I use 'opiophile' as a euphemism for opiate addict....

Opiates seem to be something that isnt floating around in the young crowd to much, mainly the older crowd. probably it is partially because the monkey is hard to get off the back, etc. I dont think its because its the only one that will do the trick. But the only one they think is worth while... I dunno...What opiates are you talking about anyways outta curiousity.

I believe it is because the "older" crowd is more into flowing, and being mellow, due to the older you get, the more stressful things become, and not wanting to make or create anything "MORE" stressful, opiates offer a little more peace, than jumping out of our skin with speed, ect. Im not speaking for everyone mind you, but I would say majority on this one. They are one uptight bitch to conquer tho.</font>

I'm talking about H. oxyC, dilaudid, morphine, and methadone.
I think you're riight about the stress release factor. For me, H
was like returning to the womb, or perhaps the primordial ooze....

Well just speaking on the OxyC, this is a popular young drug. But in this case older people have better access to it.A person I knewnever used to get the little green ones from anyone under 35.
But H could be the same or just because its a hard drug. And alot of us from our upbringing really think H is the devil for the most part. Morphine is almost unheard. Im speaking from a young point of view. What is DiLaUdId exactly ??

Dilaudid: hydromorphone hydrochloride
For more info, check: www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/hydromorphone.htm (http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/hydromorphone.htm)
Here in Toronto, morphine is 'fairly' easy to get a hold of; Oxys are super easy, but dilaudid is rare- it's like the holy grail..

I'm 20 and the only drugs I do are Morphine and hyrdo morph. I usually do some opiates like every other weekend on like a 2 day binge.
I have smoked pot a bit but the high is way too harsh for me.
I got into H for a bit but I stopped and that was 3 months ago.
I was into coke for a bit but I stopped cold turkey after having a HARSH comedown. That was like 3 months ago...the thought of coke makes me cringe.

Here in Victoria BC Oxys are almost IMPOSSIBLE to get. Dilaudids are everywhere. Lots of 8mgs and even 30mg HUGE pills which are just insane. Morphine is fairly easy to get here too.
