Cosmic Trigger I: Final Secret of the Illuminati
by Robert Anton Wilson

This is, here to far, the best book I've read. Though I am, ofcourse, new to the whole 'learning through books' concept and actually reading things that mean something.

So, I borrowed this book from a classmate and read it through. Every chapter of the book held me in suspense, every chapter was interesting to the point of drooling (:)).

In his first volume he basically tells 'his story' through the 70s and early 80s - his drug experiments, his contact with Tim Leary, and his baffling theories of Jungian synchronicities, the Illuminati etc.

The Illuminati shouldn't act as a discouragement to read the book, he barely mentions it (I wouldn't have picked it up if it were another Illuminati DanBrownian novelian masterpiece).

He describes his ventures into the other side with drugs, of meeting Higher Intelligence, his new-found "gift of premenition", of Mescalito, contacts with the Dog-star Sirius (that I found extremely intriguing).

But not to tell you the whole tale, go pick up the book :)

Cosmic Trigger also thrilled me with its style, Wilson really is a master-genius at writing :)

If anyone has anything particular to recommend from Wilson, Leary or Crowley, please give me a PM :)

(Sorry for the late edit, I kept deleting my whole text... so I rewrote it a lot shorter ._.)

Cosmic Trigger was a good one alright. I think I was slightly more fond of Prometheus Rising but it's been a while since I've read either. My fav, however, and many might not agree (it's a wierd one) is his Reality is What You Can Get Away With. It's written as a crazy screenplay, just reading it is like a type of trip in its own right.

R.I.P indeed,
Was wondering if you've read all 3 parts of "Illuminatus"? Are they equally good?
I bet they are ;)
