SWIG obtained an amount of Xanax (1mg, Pharmacia Argentina) from an OP. SWIG has no problem with the quality of the tablets but has noticed every single blister (on the foil side - NOT the pill side) has had a very small puncture put in it (half the size than say what the tip of a biro would do). This has puzzled him since they were received. Can any SWIYs comment - SWIG can only think this is some kind of purposely done safety ploy, as any drugs with damaged blisters cannot be sold as "good" drugs, but are defunct, non-saleable.

SWIG should have mentioned each puncture is directly above every pill.

SWIM said that its possible that was done to get the air out of the blisters so they can be made more compact for shipping.

No other SWIY OP buyers noticed anything like this? SWIG is coming to the conclusion that the foils were punctured to remove air, making the pills less likely to 'rattle' (which, they didn't) and pass safely to their destination.

OK,so SWIM was basically on the money that it was a shipping issue.

SWIM buys his medicines also from an OP and has the same thing. He's ordered ritalin, xanax and many other meds and all of them have the blisters damaged on purpouse.

SWIM has no problems with the meds quality, and the expiration date is ok too, but this intentional damage freaks him out too.

Well at least it seems it's 'normal' (?) practice for some of the OP's to do this. It must be to try to stop the pills rattling or an attempt to protect the vendor if damaged blisters are deemed 'unsaleable'.

this topic seems like it doesn't go well with the forum rules on vendors.

plantshaman please could you explain to SWIG why? The description of drug did not divulge the name of an OP, simply the type of drug and the manufacturer (Pharmacia manufacture Xanax).

if I were swim Id be worried about open blisters....law enforcement will often allow these packages through, if theyre confiscated by customs no one can be charged, but if they are flagged by customs, but still sent to receiver, then the receiver has incriminating evidence against him/herself, and law enforcement has "probable cause" for later invasions of privacy.

Thanks for the advice allyourbase, though SWIG receives not open, but just punctured blisters - the envelope they were received in was not disturbed.
