What drug are you coming off of? I would recommend avoiding difficult situations because when you first get cleaned, that is when you are most vulnerable. Withdrawal symptoms are kicking in and you have little experience with being in the "clean" stage so your answer to every problem is to get more drugs.

Do your best to be peaceful and serene. Meditation may help, if you're too antsy for that though, just do your best to avoid work, enemies, and assholes.

Put on some smooth music and meditate. Breathe slow, and keep telling yourself your going to better than ever. Feeding positive into your mind will help tremendously, and we are here if you need us.

Yes, I think it's hard initially to deal with feelings and emotions after quitting something that you may have been using for a while to deal with stuff like that.

For example, I quit smoking after 20 years, to me the last 10 of that to figure it out and finally kick it. A big part of that for me was dealing with anger and emotions. Once I came up with alternative coping mechanisims it was much easier, even though I still have issues flare up from time to time, I have different ways to deal with it than picking up a ciggie.

I think the same holds true for any substance.

Maybe go talk to someone professional about your emotions and ways to deal with them in a healthier way.

Good luck! Stick with it and if for some reason you relapse, learn from it and try again. That's the most important thing.
