Prescription med use preventing access to rehab in U.S.

Just wanted to say this:

(1) I keep relapsing on cola, and can't seem to stay away from it.

(2) I can't afford the habit, but find ways to do it anyway. Does that tell you where I'm headed?

(3) I need treatment bad, but no treatment center will take me because I'm on Klonopin... even though I've used it RELIGIOUSLY, AS PRESCRIBED, FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS AS A PSYCH MED FOR MY ANXIETY, they won't take me. Takes a long time to get off it, and I don't think it's time I can afford.

I'm so freakin' pissed off at the drug treatment system in the USA. How far is dogma going to get anyone? Everyone here probably knows that **Klonopin does not get you high**, it's too long-acting. But I can't get the treatment I need because I'm on a fuckin' low dose of it. Hell, I usually take LESS THAN PRESCRIBED, but just the fact that I'm on it as a medication, can't get into **ANY** treatment center.

Talk to the MD who is prescibing it for you. Thats what they are there for. He may be able to pull some strings for you.
