SWIM has access to some MUSARIL muscle relaxing pills (50mg Tetrazepam). He found T. in some benzodiazepine lists on the internet, but with no description of effects or anything else. SWIM looked it up on erowid and found nothing but lists of scheduled substances (tetrazepam is schedule IV in the US).
Does anybody know if Tetrazepam is suited for recreational use and if yes, in which doses?

Fk it, SWIM will try some this evening and report tomorrow.
Dont worry, SWIM will not OD.
Paracelsus: SWIY left less than 24 hours between their OP and their "Fuck It".
SWIJ looks forward to the experience report, but suggests that patience is quite often a virtue.
Maybe this will interest SWIY:

PS: Found in 1 minute googling "Musaril + dose"

ok, swim delayed the tetrazepam test due to a DXM trip :D
but while doing some research he found out that it is pretty unknown and most commonly used by those individuals that would take any benzo they get their hands on............
tetrazepam is most commonly used to treat anxiety and agoraphobia because of its relaxing properties. But that stands for most benzos i think..
So, SWIM decided to take only one pill (50mg), and if the effects are pleasant, MAYBE take a second one, but not more. Trip report will come probably tomorrow. See ya

OK, this is SWIMs report.
[Subject weighs 220 pounds, non-smoker, occasional drinker, 1st plateau DXM trip 2 days before, 300mg caffeine at T - 9.00. Tolerance: probably caffeine, no other drugs. No other drugs than the mentioned here were consumed in the past two weeks.]
T + 0.00: 50mg Tetrazepam orally
T + 0.10: Muscle relaxing came on very fast, SWIM felt his legs in a different way (somewhat similar to that feeling when someone sits in a wrong position, press on a nerve, and cant feel his legs). SWIM went out for a walk.
T + 0.45: Muscle relaxing effects gradually increased, walking in a straight line was very difficult and SWIM almoust fell down. Decided to go home.
T + 1.00: At home. Feelings of peace and tranquility, everything is relaxed.
T + 1.45: Muscle relaxing effects were coming down (very fast in SWIMs opinion), so he decided to take another pill. 50mg Tetrazepam orally.
T + 2.00: Again, MR effects came on very fast, relaxed feelings started in swims legs again. MR was better (more intense) than before.
T + 3.00: Not able to do much, as the whole body was relaxed.
T + 4.00: As effects were coming down, SWIM got tired and went to sleep.
------------------
The experience was mild, stronger after the second 50mg, maybe the short effects duration of each pill was due to the caffeine from that morning. Half-life of caffeine should be 3-4 hours, but who knows?
SWIM will take some rest and after a couple of days, try it again, in slightly larger dose, and without any caffeine in his system.

I had a dream about someone called Dan, who decided to try Tetrazepam in higher dosage, and without significant amounts of other drugs in his system.
Here is Dan's concise report, as far as i can remember my dream:
T + 0.00: 100mg Tetrazepam orally.
T + 0.15: Muscle Relaxation, started in Dan's legs and soon covered his entire body.
T + 0.30: 100mg Tetrazepam orally.
T + 1.00: Muscle Relaxation started to become a bad feeling, Dan felt like a small amount of electricity flew through his legs and it became more and more difficult to walk, due to heavy muscle relaxation.
T + 2.00: MR was too powerful in Dan's opinion, was more and more unpleasant.
T + 3.00: Dan started to get a light headache. Felt kind of sick.
T + 4.00: Effects came down, gradually, which was good for Dan as the "trip" got quite unpleasant.
T + 5.00: Dan got down, and decided not to take anymore Tetra and any other downer.
----
Low doses dont show many noticeable effects, large doses become unpleasant. Not recommended.

Tetrazepam, interesting! How does this benzo compare to the subjective effects of any other benzodiazepine? What about alcohol or carisoprodol?

Dan has never tried any other benzo (at least recreationally), but after the second Tetra experience he decided not to take that anymore, and probably not any other benzo for a while...the effects can compare to alcohol, but only the small dosage (100mg, first experience). In large doses, the effects got unpleasant, definitely not like alcohol.

Quite a coincidence here; I was browsing and came across this thread. Only yesterday SWIWAS was given three 50mg tetrazepam tablets, by GNR Pharma, white and round with a deep score on the reverse side, larger and thicker than a standard diazepam or clonazepam tablet.
Subjectively, SWIWAS found, on taking 50mg, that there were hardly any of the sedative effects supplied by the two I just compared the size to; but there is a similarity to carisoprodol in that SWIWAS found his spondylo-arthritic condition to be relieved a little - the muscle-relaxant properties of tetrazepam are pronounced enough to cope with the problems this condition causes.
One shouldn't therefore expect to feel the 'warm fuzzy' feeling of the more sedative benzos.
On researching a little more this morning it was noted that this benzo is primarily used for mainly muscle-relaxation in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The equivalence table perused gave the relative strength as 50mg tetrazepam = 7.5mg diazepam, which would seem about correct.
This medicine is not generally seen outside the countries mentioned. It also seems to attract a higher price than alternatives that do the job as well, if not better than tetrazepam.

Oh, and Paracelsus and 'Dan', you must both be quite sensitive to muscle-relaxants if you felt those sort of effects; OK, your dosage was four times the recommended dose, but still, when one is used to the sort of effect of Carisoma, the comparable effect of tetrazepam is quite mild. Bear in mind that carisoprodol is not a benzo though, because some people ARE abnormally sensitive to benzodiazepines. And this writer would probably say that of all CNS depressant drugs, the MOST unpleasant is definitely alcohol...

SWIM herself has often wondered about how benzos that she's never gotten the chance to try compare to benzos taht she is familiar with. Any experienced benzo users able to give a comparison between tetrazepam and other more commonly encountered substances? From the above report it does not sound like a particularly desireable benzo.
