A persons drug cycle begins with a situation in life. Its said to be a run away from a situation, whether it be physical or emotional. Thats what the papers say, butI want to know your opinion. Are all people who take drugsmaking a "run away from a situation", or is it plain curiosity that leads a person to intefere with drug?

Some people are more curious than others. Some people want to experience the anticipated pleasure associated through drug use. Some people are able to get drugs more readily than other persons.


I'm not sure if it is a "run away from a situation" type thing. For some people, maybe. Some people may think it's "cool" or "the thing to do" so curiosity might lead them to do drugs. Some people like the "experience" of being in an altered state. The thing about "running away" is that no matter how far you run, you can't escape. Drugs, when used in moderation, can make lifes suffering seem easier. It only seems that way though.


Recreational drug use might also seem to be "an escape" or "run away" . A slight escape from the hum-drum events that happen to us every day. Once the curiosity factor stops, continued use is kind of a "run away" or "escape" for most drug users.

I did alot of research before I did any drugs. I started off smoking weed, then acid, then pcp, then mushrooms, then all sorts of pharms. I stick to natural substances now, aside from the acid I ran across a few months back, and of course xanax..


I just no longer enjoy the toxic feel of chemicals. Etheogens are sooo much cleaner, and a much better time.


For me, it has always been about seeking higher planes of existance, and finding things out about myself.

like diadem, i researched for about a year before i did anything. i was curious because of a couple friends were doing drugs quite regularly, but i just wasn't ready to take the plunge.



i finally did, trying nutmeg first (bad idea) but it did make me want to try other drugs. i always research whatever i'm putting into my body. it's very important.



so, short answer, i do drugs because i'm board. it makes life a little different.

some are choas magicians or chaotes ... or phsychonaughts .... and choose to alter their state of conciousness and delve into other perceptions of reality ... or for spiritual or ego/soul/self death/rebirth, etc ...

it has a lot to do needing to feel like part of the community and to feel grown up.being in with the crowd and not being different, but everyone has thier own tastes when it comes to deciding wether to use something or not.i think it makes sense to take advice and research carfully anything your considering experimenitng with.

i think that drugs have different purposes 4 different people. Some do drugs 2 run away from problems, some do it out of plain boredom and then their is the recreationel drug user that does it all 4 fun. I do drugs 4 fun but know, no i would have 2 say knew many that did it 2 escape.

They are lost 2 their addiction now.

I think doing drugs out of boredom is a bad idea, I feel drugs should be used to discover something about youself they shoukld be used to look inward for truth (I don't feel this is as true for amphetamines and chems as much as it is for psychadelic drugs)

For me it's a combination of boredom and extreme curiosity. More the latter than the former, I'd say though.
