Any Methadone therapy participants?
Howdy, I made an appointment at a clinic in Austin this Friday. I was referred there by a friend. He said that they are super nice (which they certainly were via telephone). He said that they will start me on a low dose for safety, and then increase the dosage daily based on my feedback until I feel comfortable, and that I can stay on whatever dosage I decide indefinitely until I decide I want to start weaning myself off. That decision will be completely up to me, he claimed. He said that they will want me to come in daily for 2 weeks to receive the methadone, and then based on their judgement, they will allow me to take a prescription home for the week. Does anyone have any knowledge to impart on this?
