Swim has obtained some pills by the name of Codepect. Each one contains 10mg codeine phosphate and 100mg Glyceryl Guaiacolate (Guaifenesin). The pills were obtained legally for next to nought from a Pharmacy in Thailand.

It is Swims understanding that Glyceryl Guaiacolate (Guaifenesin) is not a great thing to be taking, and Swim reckons to be taking 120mg dose of codeine.

That would mean ingesting 12 tablets and 1200mg of Guaifenesin, which doesn't sound wise.

Could someone confirm for Swim that 1200mg of Guaifenesin is indeed an unwise amount to ingest, he is 99% sure of this ofcourse but would like to know for sure before he goes ahead with a lengthy extraction method.

Now if Swim is indeed correct with his assumption that extraction is the correct path to follow, could anyone advise swim as to which extraction method to follow for both ease and best results.

Swim would like to point out that a friend has been swallowing 20 of said pills and a time without realising they contained anything else other than codeine. Apon Swim obtaining said pills he checked to make sure on internet and was surprised to find out there was a hidden ingredient. Swim has notified friend to stop all further experimentation. The friend clearly states that he has had no bad effects from experimentations with these pills.

So the question is has the friend been lucky not to experiance bad effects, or is 2000mg a small dose of Guaifenesin to be taking?

It sounds like a hell of a lot to swim!!!!!

SWIF isnt that knowledgable on Guaifenesin but from what he understands about it, apart from giving your liver a hard time and making you nausious it wont do much else. This is not definate information

SWIF would simply obtain codeine pills that contain paracetamol and do a CWE(Cold water extraction).

SWIF isnt sure if a CWE would remove guaifenesin SWIY would have to check.

Dont rely on the information from your friend, everyones body reacts differantly what makes someone feel good can kill another person.

Sorry i couldnt help more. Feel free to ask further...
