Swim is currently on a med that in Scandinavia is called ANTABUS (don't know what it's called in North America, sorry).

Basically he'll vomit like a fire-hose and get a head-ache for 3 days if he drink just a drop of alcohol. Ie, Swim's trying to beat alcoholism.

Swim's question is, can one take Valium or Xanax with these kinda meds? He don't do it every day, but you know, sometimes, just to sleep or chill out.

Thanx,
o.

It is Disulfiram and i ussume if ur doctor prescribed it for you u dont have medical problems that would complicate taking valium or xanax with it. The Disulfiram and xanax do not react with each other and it is safe to take them together. I would start off with a small experimental dose first, since Disulfiram inhibits enzyme induction and may interfere with the metabolism of drugs taken at the same time. You shouldnt have ne problems but just be careful.

yes it is disulfuram (spelling?), and thank you very much for your advice.
I'll start out carefully. Just need something for those family dinners, you know ;)

have a good weekend,

How about Cocaine or Codeine?
Any ideas or comments?

All help accepted gratefully,

id take the same approach as with the xanax, it looks as if the only thing that really interferes with that medication is alcohol.
